Oh my Michel!

If you go inside 4th floor dormitory, the first thing you can see is the big survey board by Michel Cafeteria. This is to gather the students’ opinion about Korean soup they serve. It looks like students just hate Korean soup, but in fact it is more complicated than that.

As we all know, Michel’s food have two different courses, course A and B. This is the only option the students have. If you don’t like course A, then you can still choose course B. But despite of this, students are still dissatisfied. This means the problem is not just with the Korean soup. In fact, the main complain is the taste.

Michel food’s price is 2,500 won so it is not so expensive. But before Michel Cafeteria, we already have school cafeteria. They have the same price but the old school cafeteria was more delicious. And with the same price, students can also go to other places outside university.

If the food taste bad, then don’t eat it. But dormitory students have no choice. When they registered to dorm, they were required to pay for 40 meals. If they will not eat in Michel cafeteria, then they just wasted their money. So it’s very strange that even if the students are complaining, they still eat in that place.

Even if we say that students are satisfied with the Michel cafeteria, requiring them to pay and eat there is like taking away their freedom to spend their money where they want to spend it. So what more if they are dissatisfied?? By listening and accepting students’ opinion, Michel Cafeteria should improve the quality of their foods or may find other ways to make students satisfied.
