I would like to introduce some interesting places you can see inside Catholic University of Korea's campus.
First is the fourth floor lounge located in International Hub (IH) building’s dormitory. I think that the 4th floor lounge is one of the many interesting places in CUK. If you live in the dormitory, you can use that lounge. You can meet with friends there anytime between 5am and midnight. There are computers and TV, and you can use all of these at no cost. There are coffee machines and snack vending machines too. If you want to eat something late at night, then you can use these vending machines to buy anything to your delight. I think that's very advantageous to students. I go there very often when I want to talk to my friends or eat something. That’s why I think that the lounge is a very interesting place. I recommend that you go there. Go there with your friends and enjoy it!
Second place is the roof of Nichols building. I want to introduce the roof of Nichols building as one of the interesting places of CUK campus. Here you can enjoy many things. For example, if the weather is fine, you can play badminton with your friends. Also, there are a few picnic tables where you can grill, and eat Samgyupsal together with soju. It is a good place to eat lunch or to drink a beer. You can get there by using the Nichols building's stairs. It's located on the 5th floor.
Another special place is the 'Global Lounge'. Global Lounge is located in the first floor of International Hub. The name of this place - Global Lounge reflects its unique feature. In this place, we can't speak Korean as only English is allowed. The first time you go to Global Lounge, you might be confused because you might not be able to guess what this place is. This is because this place has the combination of many comfortable things such as cafe, resting area, conference rooms, computer, movie screen, among others. Here, people who are called OBF masters sell coffee, tea and they lend students English books, DVDs and games. Furthermore, students can use internet freely and they can watch movies on the big screen. If students want to talk with OBF masters to improve their English, they can talk with them. Also, there are Filipino graduate students that you can talk to. If you want to talk to them, you can reserve meeting time with them and converse with them during your specified time slot. For these things, students who go to Global Lounge can gain a lot of things at once.
The last place I'd like to introduce to you is the CUK dormitory's balcony. I live in CUK International House Dormitory which opened in 2009. It's very new, clean and convenient. Among all the places in the dormitory, I think that the balcony is the best and most interesting place despite its small space. From the balcony, I can see the beautiful city of Yeokgok. I also enjoy the cool air. During day time, I feel kind of confused because of the city's crowded buildings. But at night, the city's view is just so amazing with city lights. Come and go to the CUK dormitory's balcony and experience what I feel.
The fourth floor lounge in IH building, Nichol's roof deck, Global Lounge and CUK dormitory's balcony are some of the interesting places you can visit here in CUK. So why don't you go and check this places out during your spare time and see the wonders of the CUK campus. ^_^
