GEO 6's third week starts with creative presentations!

The third week of GEO 6 started with group presentations.  Last semester, we also had this kind of activity.  At that time, we had a lot of time to prepare - maybe because the contest was held during the semester but this time, we had to prepare in a very short period.  And so, we spent the whole week writing scripts, making PowerPoint presentations, and also have many rehearsals!  There is no doubt that it was a hard time...however, it was really fun. ^_^

We had the preliminary rounds of the contest last Monday (July 12).  Beforehand, professors fixed our grammar problems and changed our expressions to more natural ones.  During the preliminary rounds, all the teams did so well that it was very hard to eliminate one team.  But then, because of the regulations, the judges had to decide which team had to be eliminated.  In the end, only three teams qualified for the final round.

In the finals, all eyes (including our classmates, students from the other classes, TAs and all the professors) were on us and it gave us too much pressure.  This was the reason why we practiced very hard so as not to make the audience disappointed.

Last Wednesday (July 14), Class 2-1 and 2-2 had their final presentation contest.  Actually, the topics were limited but each group had a creative and interesting way of presenting.  Also, last Thursday (July 15), Class 3-1, 3-2, and 4-1 had their final round.  Their topics were quite serious so I personally thought that it would be boring.  However, they made those serious topics interesting as they presented.
