BFA’s Insights – Part 7

Last week was the first week of the GEO program, I am very excited about this! Last week I was able to sit in the first class and introduce myself to the students. I did that through a powerpoint presentation full of pictures of myself. In order for the students to get to know me better, I explained the pictures in detail. Then the professor had me sit on the “hot seat” which I found very exciting because the students were able to ask me anything they wanted. Through this activity, they got to know me even better. In addition, they could pick on me and in effect, we could share some laughs because of the strange and interesting questions raised. I really enjoyed being able to meet new people. I look forward to getting to know everyone better through the one-on-one meetings!

Meeting with the students is going to be very exciting because I will be able to find out more cultural differences between Korea and the United States. Since I have been here I met so many people already and I really enjoyed talking to new people, learning the differences of the two cultures. I have also been to many places.  I hope the students can show me more of Korea! I noticed that people here are so friendly and fun to be with. I really like the ambiance because in America, people are not as friendly and they don’t care as much. I am loving my stay here! I want to see as much as I can and do as much as I possible while I am still here! A week had gone by so fast, so before you know it the month will be up and I will have to go back home. I look forward to the rest of my stay and I cant WAIT to meet everyone!!
