GEO Winter Camp Facilities (Part 2)

During the 2nd GEO Winter Camp from January to February 2010, the Press Club conducted a small survey among the GEO students. There were five (5) survey questions asked. We will talk about these one by one.

Question: Which of the GEO Winter Camp facilities do you most enjoy using?

Answer: Conference Room (9 responses or 3 percent of the total responses)
Answer: Global Lounge (236 responses or 77 percent of the total responses)
Answer: Gym (54 responses or 18 percent of the total responses)
Answer: Listening Lab (5 responses or 2 percent of the total responses)

The second most popular facility for students in the 2nd GEO Winter Camp was the Gym. It is located in the ground floor of the International Hub (IH) Building in CUK's Songsim Campus. The gym has an indoor track for people who wish to break into a sweat by running. It also has a full-court basketball facility which is often used for other sports like indoor football (soccer), badminton, volleyball, dodgeball, among others. There are also table tennis tables for those who want to play this sport. Students can borrow basketballs, volleyballs, footballs (soccer balls), paddles and table tennis balls from the Global Lounge staff for the purpose of playing.  GEO encouraged the students to engage in sports to relieve stress and to relax from the rigors of studying. Still, the "English Only" policy was observed even when playing sports. Speaking in Korean during the GEO program was considered a foul. See some of the pictures below.
