5Th Day Travel Diary
By - Choi Eunbi, Choi Yunseo
We all woke up at 6:30 A.M
and had breakfast. It was yogurt, bread, salad, cereal and fruit. Almost
everyone loved the jam called NUTELLA, especially Hyun-young, she wants to take
it when she goes back to Korea. After breakfast, we had 2hours to prepare for
the writing and speaking classes. Everyone did one's duties during the 2 hours;
some did homework for the day, some took a shower, some listened to music, and
others seem to take a rest.
Our first
class was writing, we finished re-writing first and second essays and completed
the third essay. All the topics were very similar with the subject from TOEFL therefore;
it was very familiar to us. The third topic was about the best way of how to
release one's stress. Every student wrote individual way of reducing stress and
submitted to Darlene our teacher.
After
the essay, Darlene prepared lunch for us. The menu was crab cake, beef, coconut
shrimp, curry and Korean seafood soup. We all wanted to have crab cake which is
famous among young Americans and Darlene cooked for us. It was very delicious
that we even asked for the recipe.
After
having lunch, we had our second class which is reading and debating. First we
had to read article about American president- JFK and Lincoln, after we had
debate on following topic- agree or disagree with having a bottle of water.
For the night, we decided
to have a snow fight outside and have dinner as our last schedule for the day.
Playing outside in the weather was cold yet, it was very fun. After the snow
fight we ate dinner at a restaurant called Slider. I heard, it is a very
popular place for young people to party and watch sports games. There we ate a
lot of chicken because Slider is famous for their spicy chicken. We had a very
good time eating delicious food. We were all satisfied with the spicy chicken.
