Learning something new from the Presentation Contests

From January 18-20, there were presentation contests in GEO 9 winter camp. Our class watched the level 4 and 5 classes' presentations. We were very impressed by the teams’ speaking skills. The topics presented were interesting too. We were a little nervous after watching their presentations, because they were so good. But then we realized we could do very good presentations as well.

On Wednesday, two teams from our class (3-3) participated in the contest. One team gave a presentation comparing Sherlock Holmes' book version as opposed to the movie adaptation. Everyone in the team did a really good job, but they didn’t place in the competition. The other team gave a presentation comparing the cultures of Korea and Taiwan. They won third prize in the competition and our entire class was really happy for them.

Both teams did an excellent job explaining their topics. We learned a lot about Sherlock Holmes and got to know more about Taiwan too. Taiwan is a neighboring country, but we don’t know much about Taiwan. This team gave interesting details about Taiwan with a sense of humor.

We didn’t watch the level 1 and 2 presentation contest, unfortunately. But we heard they did a really good job!

Congratulations to everyone who competed in the contest. You all did a great job!!!
