TA Blog: My Life as a Movie

Though my life may not seem like the most exciting I’m sure that with a bit of Hollywood magic it can surely become a summer blockbuster.  Some of the most important aspects to consider in this situation include: the director, casting, plot, and soundtrack. This project would require someone with vision and enthusiasm so I think that Peter Jackson would be the perfect director. Peter Jackson is known for directing the films Lord of the Rings, King Kong, and The Lovely Bones. Based on the director of my choice I think you have guessed that I want the genre to be fiction. Even though the film would be based on my life, I’m hoping it can depict a great adventure full of comedy and most importantly magic. The title of the film would be more difficult to decide. A possible working title could be Ruby: Never Say Never but honestly it’s all still in the works. Perhaps Sandra Bullock might be interested in portraying me in the film. She is famous for many movies, including: Gravity, The Blind Side, and The Proposal. In these films she has shown to be a versatile actress with many qualities; she can make an audience both cry and laugh, a very important factor if she is going to play me. Since, I have been alive for only 20 something years I am going to take some creative liberty when writing the screenplay. I will include what I think may happen in the future and obviously that includes settings such as the IH building at CUK, a volcano in New Zealand, and a museum in Germany. Life often has a way of leading us down winding paths and taking us to places we have never dreamed of, so why limit myself when creating a film about my life. Plus a little imagination is always more fun and we never know what the future holds. Cheers to the life we lead now and to the places we hope to see.
