New friends in GEO

A friend is one of the nicest things you can have, and one of the best things you can be. ~Douglas Pagels

The Global English Outreach program (GEO) is not just a venue to learn English better but also an avenue for students to gain new friends while at the same time have fun with fellow students and professors.

Below are some of the sentiments of students about how they enjoyed their GEO programs ^^

I met many friends in G.E.O. I'm an International Studies student so I couldn't meet anyone whose major is natural science or business. But after I participated in the GEO program, I met many friends in other majors. Because I like making friends, I'm very satisfied in the GEO program. - Jo Hang Jin

I'm in the social science department so I don't have many chances to make friends from other majors, but it is possible in the G.E.O program! Wow! At first, I thought that G.E.O program during the semester would be so hard. But now I don't think so. My professor David is so kind and G.E.O program is so funny. I think that we can become familiar while we enjoy the program together. - Cho Ye Jin

I got close to many people in the G.E.O. program. It's been only 8 months since I entered the university. I only knew people in the same major people and friends. The G.E.O. program helped me to meet many university people and develop my English abilities. Especially, G.E.O. helped to become familiar with the same G.E.O. class friends through a lot of funny games. Through the games, class people talked a lot about each university life and so on. We do this twice a week for 4 hours. - Kim Eung Mi
