GEO11 Kicks off with Opening Ceremony for students

Approximately 270 GEO students gathered together last 4th of March for the Opening Ceremony. The GEO students were introduced to their professors as well as their teaching assistants (TAs). The GEO Management and TAs welcomed the students and announced some reminders such as signing up for their Clubs, English Clinic appointment system, class attendance policy, OBF Visits, among others.

The Club Filipino TAs (FTAs) were also present during the opening ceremony. They gave a brief introduction and a short demonstration of what students can expect in their respective clubs. FTAs presented their powerpoints and videos to the GEO students. Some even sang and danced during the event.

GEO 11 team is headed by Professor Corien le Roux, the GEO coordinator and GEO 11 manager. Professors Jerry, David, Roger, Peter and Tom will be part of the teaching team this spring semester. The GEO TA team this semester is composed of Korean TAs and Filipino TAs headed by Angelo and Januel respectively. Ji-Yeon, Ezzy, Porter, Sarah, Min Jae, Sehyun, Jinah, Jihye, MK and Sasha are the Korean TAs for GEO 11. While Jam, Mark, Kat, Steph, Regina, Angeline, Glenn, Cris, Keith and Jonathan form part of the Filipino TAs this spring semester. GEO Administrator Carol and FTA leader Karina were also present during the opening ceremony.
