Last Friday evening, January 6, we had a great and happy New Year’s party in the Global Lounge! There were various snacks and beverages served for all of us. The New Year’s party began with a toast by Professor David. Then, games and performances started. Every student was given a Human Bingo card. This game is simple and easy, but we had to ask and talk to many students. All students also participated in the “True or False game.” Finally, a student from Team Jamaica won. The other game is called the “Time Limit Bomb game.” Unfortunately, the students who got the “bombs” had to perform suddenly for the crowd. However, we think that they gave us very funny and interesting performances.
During the latter part of the party, team country members prepared fantastic occasion. We think, many people enjoyed the activities of this New Year celebration and amusing performances. Some of them danced, while the others sang wonderful songs and played musical instruments. A student from Team Singapore even did a comical show. Indeed, all performances made us happier, relaxed and more comfortable towards each other. It is enjoyable to see our fellow GEO students sharing their talents with us in this fun.
