GEO Winter Season is back

GEO is back. This winter camp, GEO 15 offers new activities for campers to enjoy. This English Immersion camp emphasizes on learning through structured lessons, and especially tailored activities to ensure students use the language as much as possible. Notwithstanding this purposes, the GEO program also aims not only to be an educational program, but one that spearheads cultural development. The goal is to offer students challenging instruction that aims to develop communicative competence in a stimulating and natural manner.

That is why aside from the classes, there are other avenues to use English. Students can go to the Global lounge and converse with Foreign teaching assistants or OBF Masters. There are also clubs which they can freely choose from. Aside from these, there are team events. The team events will take place mostly on Wednesdays. This Wednesday, January 4, the most awaited Speed Quiz will commence. Following that, we have the Sports Night on the 11th, Cultural Evening on 18th and 19th, Treasure Hunt game on the 25th. Students also have to prepare for the team country presentations. This camp, the organizers decided on holding a World Cultural Fair. As students attending the GEO program are at the forefront of an exciting and interesting period in the University’s history where the university aims for an “Inbound” Globalization”. It would be important to increase the cultural knowhow of the students. Hence, the World Cultural Fair is organized to give students the opportunity to discover other cultures. Presentors will discuss facts about their team country. This might include information learned such as geography, business hours, and hospitality, with the overlying theme of your team country’s role in the process of globalization and its impact on the world, among others. It is a real nice opportunity to learn from each other. We look forward to learn something from the presentations.

We have loads of fun activities in store for all of YOU…
Let’s all have fun learning English the GEO way ❁◕‿◕❁
