TA Blog: What are the consequences of trying to look "forever young"?

The consequences of trying to look forever young is simple. It is dreadful. We want to have something because we do not have that now. If we think carefully, when we were young, we all wished to be an adult. However, we  usually lose our interests about things after we owned it. Upon bevoming an adult, we forget the fact that we ahve alwats wanted to be adults in the past. We, humans, grow up for about 20 years and grow old to about 80 years (now we called homo-hundred). After growth, when (some) people realized they're not young anymore, they are frightened and even scared to death. They think 'getting old' is some kind of a loss and they desperately try not to lose anything. People who are trying to look forever young also have the same problem. They do not want to see their old faces in the mirror. However, they have to know that keeping their appearance forever young doesn't mean they are not getting old and there is no way to keep their appearance forever young in the first place. People who look forever young usually depend on modern technology like plastic surgery, drugs, or cosmetics but it can never be the answer. If you pour more efforts in that insatiable greed, you contrastively can feel more emptiness. I would like to tell something to people who obsess with their youth appearance too much. Freshly squeezed grape juice is good but it never can be the same with mature wine. Well, aged wine has a deep and distinctive flavor which is never can be mimicked by plain grape juice. Of course, that mature wine bottle may have a layer of dust and dirty label but people never care about its appearance. What's important is what's 'in' the bottle. Humans are like wine. If you only focus on looks, your inner beauty never get a chance to be mature.
