High school vs University

What do you think are the differences between high school and university? Please include your own experiences.
class 2-5

Since Korean high schools are slightly different from those of other countries, Korean students often experience many new things when they are freshmen in university. Most Korean high schools are too strict so that students don’t really have enough time to experience other things besides studying. Therefore, there have to be many differences between high school and university.
           First of all, unlike high school, there are lots of majors and classes that we can choose in university. In high school, we can only choose we can choose only between liberal arts and science course. However, in university, there are lots of options. We can also register classes that are not related to our major.
           Secondly, in university, there is more time for us to make good memories with our friends. In high school, students are too busy studying that they do not really have time for themselves. So they don’t really have lots of good memories with their friends. However, in Korean universities, the school offers you opportunities for you to have good memories with your friends, such as membership trainings and workshops. For example, I was on membership training with my friends on both March and April. Although I had low expectation about our membership training, we really had a lot of fun and made unforgettable memories.
           To sum up, high schools and universities are different in many ways, such as choosing our own major or having more time with our friends. University life surely has more freedom. However, if you want a successful university life, you will have to use your freedom wisely.
