The First Ever GEO Easter Party

Delicious snacks served during the first ever GEO Easter Party

In celebration of Easter, GEO held its very first Easter Party. There were a series of events that took place during the two day celebration, April 12 & 13. The first day was attended by Levels 3 to 5 while the second day celebration was attended by students from Levels 1 to 3. Thursday’s event was hosted by GEO TV Club TA Marnel and English Clinic TA Yumi. Administrative TA Kerwin and Class TA Peter on the other hand hosted the Friday event. There were a series of performances during the Easter Party. GEO TAs Yumi, Gellene and Enrique, Karl, Thommy are some of the TAs who performed during the two day event. They serenaded us with wonderful song numbers and showed us fascinating modern break dancing moves leaving us, the audience, in amazement. Aside from the performances, there were games for students to take part in. Games such as the Easter Egg Race and the Easter Party Word Puzzle Game were just some of the activities that students can participate in. In addition, since it is an easter celebration, the egg hunt game is also part of the festivity. (Trivia: The egg was a symbol of the rebirth of the earth in Pagan celebrations of spring and was adopted by early Christians as a symbol of the rebirth of man at Easter. The egg symbol was likened to the tomb from which Christ arose.) When the hunt is over, prizes were given to lucky winners.

The event was filled with sumptuous snacks, ranging from egg filled appetizers, to fruits (oranges, grapes, tomatoes), chips, breads and sandwiches, fruit juices and lemonades, among others. Thanks to our GEO TAs who contributed to make this event possible. It was a whole team working together to make everything a success. Special thanks to our dear organizers, Father Eby and Gail for your hardwork for this event. ^^
