GEO 20 ENGLISH CLINIC TAs

I would like to introduce to you this semester’s English Clinic TAs:

So, my name is Daniel Borgersen, but I usually go by Dan. My hometown is Austin, TX and I am studying International Studies. I absolutely love to travel the world and learn about different cultures, meet new friends from all over the world, play ice hockey and shoot guns.


I am a very devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or Mormons for short. I also love to tell stories, many of them loud, but funny. My favorite place to go is to somewhere that I've never been to before. I love to explore the world. My childhood heroes were Christopher Columbus, Henry M. Stanley, Davey Crockett and Daniel Boone. I always imagined myself exploring the unknown jungles of Africa or sailing a ship on an unknown ocean. My expectations for GEO 20 are that we are going to have a lot of fun speaking English in a goofy and relaxed way. We are going to make a lot of friends.

Where is your favorite place to go? Mellow Mushroom at home and to Shosa Doburi here in Korea.

I am a Communicative Disorders major at Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana.

I love nail polish and painting my nails and listening to country music.

I love learning about different cultures and traveling.

I dislike the inequalities that women around the world are faced with.

My favorite place to go to is Michigan City or Chicago with my best friends.

My expectations for this semester: help students build confidence in their English abilities.

What are you studying (major): International Relations

Hobbies: Surfing the net. Sleeping. Watching selected television dramas and movies. I also did a bit of training in Judo and played a little bit of badminton.

Likes/Dislikes: Likes to eat chocolates! I like singing and dancing, but I think music dislikes me. I don't like watching horror movies. And I really hate arguing, that's why I really don't want to be in the spotlight during debates.

Where is your favorite place to go?: If I have a companion, I would really love to explore the shrines, palaces, and the other tourist spots. I can also be adventurous if I have an adventurous companion who likes to do a bit of mountain climbing, and explore the nature, or ride the rollercoaster in amusement parks.

Expectations for GEO this semester: Hopefully I will be able to help students harness their English speaking skills. Also hopefully, I will gain many friends while I'm here.
