On 8th of March 2013, the GEO Opening Ceremony
was held in IH 366.
Before the ceremony officially started, TAs
were standing outside the room to hand out student guidebooks to students.
The Opening Ceremony was hosted by Ilene
and was assisted by two lovely KTAs, Chelsea Kang, Na Rae Lee and Administrator
Kerwin.
First on the agenda, was a welcome speech
from GEO Coordinator, Professor Peter, followed by new KTA Captain Ilene’s speech.
Shortly afterwards, there was a short introduction
of class professors and TAs.
Later on KTA Captain Ilene, FTA Captain Lia and Field
Manger Jin-Woo gave brief explanation on GEO. Also, our new Global Lounge Manager
Hui Zin gave a speech on how to use Global Lounge.
With more than 200 students registered in
GEO Intensive 23 which is twice the usual size, it is expected to be twice interesting.
