Second Team Competition: Quiz
Show
Let me introduce our first team competition, the Quiz Show.
Thursday last week, we had the Quiz Show in Sophia’s Room. All
the two teams were gathered again for the second time. The Quiz Show consisted
of the O/X Quiz, Speed Quiz, and Golden Bell.
Before the Quiz Show began, we shouted our team chants, showing
our eagerness to win the competition. The first game was the O/X Quiz. It was
about Prof. Johan’s and Patrick‘s motherlands, South Africa and Canada. It was a
very interesting subject. However, we didn’t do well because we don’t have much
knowledge of the two countries. And the questions were very tricky so I failed in
almost every question. It was bad luck that day. But our team members from South
Africa are very smart and clever. So in the end, we won that round.
Second, we had the Speed Quiz. The game had all team members
seated back to back, one team member described some words only in English while
another team member guessed the word. I was not good in that game because I can’t
explain well and had the wrong answer. It was a little bit difficult to our
team so we lost.
Third, we did another quiz. All team members must brainstorm
and we did very well. I think our team members are geniuses.
Lastly, we did the Golden Bell. It was like a TV show. I did
quite well so I advanced to the final round. Again, our geniuses did their best
so our team won the Golden Bell. Finally, our team South Africa won. And we got
a big score for our team. I was so glad of that. Yeeeeah!!!
