Looking at the brighter side of things: Not just about guessing but also about learning and connecting

Class 3-2 with Prof. Greg and TA Jam

Playing the Speed Quiz in Korean is really fun. Guessing about things in a language we are familiar is one thing, but doing it in another language is another. But it did not prevent us from enjoying the game. In fact, doing it in English made things more fun. Our teams had to rack their brains just to guess even the simplest words. It made perfect sense how guessing in another language is fun because we had to literally string the most creative guesses just to make sense of the things that we had to guess. It was a hell of an experience because of the kind of conversation that took place between the guesser and the giver of the clues, which bordered between hilarity and excitement.

Most of us did not get the first prize and lost, but it made us aware of the greater things we’ve gained as we went through the competition: the crowning glory of the competition was that it showed how learning comes hand in hand with cooperation. We learned as we interacted with other people that it does not matter if we lost to some of the battles in life for each defeat in these battles taught us how to win in the war. We may have lost the battle, but not the war. On to greater things in life now for we were not made to settle with the comforts of just winning, but also in the greatness in struggling and even losing. C’est La Vie!

Class 3-2 in their most daring sentiments! :)
